Our Participating in Forum of Chinese-Polish University Presidents

On December 20^th, 2011, the Polish State President Bronislaw Komorowski, who was paying a state visit in China, participated in the “Forum of Chinese-Polish University Presidents” hosted by Ministry of Education, Polish Ministry of Science and High Education and undertook by Chinese International Education Center.

At 10 o’clock, the opening ceremony of the forum began. The Polish State President Bronislaw Komorowski,  the Polish Minister of  Ministry of Science and High Education, Polish ambassador in China and the vice Minister of Chinese Ministry of Education Hao Ping and other VIP leaders, Chinese Ambassador in Poland Su Yuxi,  attended the Opening ceremony. Meanwhile University Presidents and delegations from over 20 Universities of Poland and from 30 Universities of China attended the meeting. Our college leaders were invited to attend the opening ceremony.

The Polish State President made a speech that China and Poland should strengthen cooperation in economy as well as in education so as to promote our relationship. Mr. Hao Ping first showed congratulations on the Forum and stated that President Komorowski’s attending the forum during the busy schedule of state visit not only reflected mega-event in our education cooperation but reflected our further development, hoping that we can stride forward in our education cooperation. The Polish Minister of Ministry of Science and High Education gave a general introduction of Polish High Education, hoping that the forum could promote Education Cooperation of universities and wishing great success of the forum.

In the afternoon, discussion on subject of “Academic Cooperation and Student Exchanging” and subject of “Research Cooperation and Student Cultivating” were held among groups. The participants of university presidents and scholars made very friendly and deep probe and communications. We participated in the discussion of “Research Cooperation and Student Cultivating” and we made a keynote speech on the subject.

 Polish universities show great concern on the forum and the three universities which have cooperated with our college are in the delegation. During the forum, our president Prof. Hu Xianyu communicated friendly and deep with our three cooperated university presidents and signed written cooperation contract with President of Technical University of Lodz on the major of electric of power. The project belongs to 2+2 4-year study in English. After 4-year study, the students can get bachelor degree and can further their study in Poland to get master degree or acquire the qualification of an engineer to get a job in Poland. The ambitious youth can have a colorful life project.

　　During the state visit in China, Polish President’s attending the forum represents their great concern and expectation on the education cooperation. This forum set up a wonderful platform for high education between the two countries and promotes the international culture exchanging between the two countries.
